“Our first experience with January was when our son was considering the M&T program.  Since then, January has been an extremely valuable resource for our son and us many times while trying to make many decisions through the last 4 years.  January has an amazing sense of listening and really understanding what we seek. She has not only been effective at guiding our son through his choices and decisions, but has also been very effective at guiding him through the transition of high school life to College. She has not only been effective as an academic advisor, for example working through the course selection, but as a life coach and mentor in helping him better deal with college student life challenges.  Through her resources at UPenn and connections with outside professionals, she was also effective in getting our son connected to some very valuable resources.  Today, many a times, we still say, “I wish January were here at Penn to help!”
